David was 33 years old, (single only child,) when he was killed by a drunk driver, His then
girlfriend survived with a fracktured pelvis and badly broken leg which was pinned together. He was a
kind and gentle man, who loved and lived life. He was a Pagen high priest and also was in a Viking
re-enactment group, and wrote some of the battles they depicted. He had been living in Leicester for
approx 7 years, I and my family visited them regularlyand often sat at the Fountain in Leicester
having lunch etc;He was a biker, and a brilliant artist and metal worker, designing jewelery and
viking weapons, cooking items, tools etc;He was a self-taught guitarist, and loved to play whenever
and wherever he could.Bryan Mae (Queen) heard him play and was astounded at his playing and said he
was the best he had ever heard who had self taught the guitar. He did some roadying for stars before
he moved to Leicester. He had a lot of Friends from all accross the country and Family in Canada,
whom he visited not long before he was killed. He had a motorbike hurse at his funeral with a
motorcycle guard of honour and Viking send off,at the graveside in the wild meadow at Ketton where
he was intered.David was the love of my life, and his passing has left a great hole in our lives and
in those who knew and loved him, (some of his friends were untraced so are yet to know of his
passing.)
One step closer.
David...Each day brings me one step closer to being re-united with you Son.Each Day I have found the strength from somewhere to carry on even though my heart is heavy. Each day my heart is filled with sadness on waking and missing you so much. Each day I do the things I can that are asked of me, wherever and however I can help someone....Knowing that each step I take brings me ever closer to the day when we shall be reconcilled and I will be at home with you in the Heavenly Realm of eternal love, peace and happiness. Let us keep walking one step closer together and meet half way beneath our chosen tree.xxxLove and miss you so much Darling Son.xx
